Last year I was lucky enough to be offered some time working with Esquire magazine doing layout design. I was unable to accept the offer at the time but am very grateful for the offer and this is the issue I would’ve worked on which they very kindly sent me. A great office in a great part of London and some amazing layout design. In the end I only spent the day with them but I got a good insight in to what they do and one thing I never knew was that there was a difference between the regular and subscriber covers. The image you see is the subscriber cover which has all the cover text removed which I think makes for a great minimalist cover.
